Heat a large cast-iron skillet over very high heat until you see white ash in the bottom of the skillet, at least 10 minutes.
Thoroughly combine the seasonings in a small bowl. Dip each strip in melted butter, then sprinkle seasoning mix on all sides. Place in the hot skillet and carefully pour a little hot butter on top of each strip. Cook uncovered for about 2 minutes until it looks charred. Turn and again pour a little butter on top. Cook for another 2 minutes or until alligator is done.
(CAUTION: This method of cooking produces a lot of smoke and if cooked indoors, provide adequate ventilation.)
